This Sunday, December 8th, we will explore the question of what it means to know God's will. Our study will flow out of Acts 21:1-14 so go ahead and prayerfully read this passage in preparation. This idea of "knowing God's will" has confused and frustrated many Christians over the years ... all of us have sought to "find the will of God" concerning a particular matter but have ended up frustrated and perhaps more confused than we were when we started the pursuit. So let's come together in worship and investigate how we might know God's will. We'll discuss whether or not the idea of "finding" God's will is even a Christian concept at all.
This is the second Sunday in Advent - we will light the Bethlehem candle. If you have been looking for a good, solid resource for you and your family this advent season then please consider this one by Paul Tripp. http://paultripp.com/advent
Don't forget that this Sunday during the Sunday School hour following worship we will have our yearly Congregational Meeting to elect officers and receive the 2014 budget. We will also hear a report from our deacons about some improvements and updates to our facilities / buildings that will hopefully better enable us to reach the local community with the Gospel.
